In court and out of court
Mediation first, where it is safe
Nicole is accredited under the Australian National Mediator Standards (NMAS) through the Resolution Institute. This means she understands how to help both sides find practical agreements without a long court battle.
Reaching agreement outside court can save money and stress. It can also protect the relationship between parents who will keep raising children together.
Ready for court when it is needed
Some matters do need a judge to decide. Nicole appears regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia at first returns, mentions, and interim and final hearings.
For trials and arbitrations, she is experienced at instructing barristers. That means your matter is prepared properly from the very first step.
Her background before law
Before her legal career, Nicole worked with young people in out-of-home care. She saw firsthand how family breakdown affects children.
That experience gives Nicole real empathy and a calm presence in difficult parenting matters. She keeps the wellbeing of children at the centre of every decision.
Nicole studied a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Tasmania in Hobart and the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. She then completed her law studies in Queensland.
